Most weeks we ‘do our own thing‘, giving and receiving help and advice in an informal way. At the beginning of a month, the group works on a common task, or someone provides tuition in some aspect of art.
Membership is free during January and February!
Recently we have gained several new members.
Exhibitions
In December 2011 members sold 5 paintings in our Chorley Library Exhibition.
Two of our members sold 12 paintings during the January library exhibition.
Our next exhibition is likely to be in June at Avant Garden Centre Leyland.
Artist of the Month
I always intended to take up water colour painting when I retired and have thoroughly enjoyed trying different subjects and particularly like painting people. I like using vibrant colour and textures and love Pierre Auguste Renoir and the way he paints people at leisure.
I find painting totally relaxing and wish I had taken it up years ago.
